Hi Joel and Eric.
Call me crazy, but I disagree with Armand re having numbers as part of your
URL. One number that has been searched on many, many times, is 2020 - be it
for the TV Show or for enquiries for sight products or information, or for
what outlook minicipalities want to achieve by the year 2020.
With this in mind, I have registered 10 domain names all prefixed with
vision2020 - the first one I am currently using is vision2020insight.com
The others will all come into existence when the timing is right.
Seeing Armand and hearing his comments re branding, certainly strengthened
my focus on being consistent with my URL’s, even WITH numbers in them.

I don’t get your point about 2020 being so beneficial as a domain.
Yes, you cited a few reasons people search for that particular number, but you didn’t leverage any of them.
Personally, I’ve got numbers in maybe 2% of my domains.
One suggestion I have for you - when you reserve a domain with a zero, also get a version where you put the letter “o”.

I use nubers in some of my domains itself…
The main disadvantage I see it doing that is then whenever you tell somebody your domain name verbally, you have to tell them what way it’s meant, in my case I have to say all the time…

Otherwise having a number doesn’t matter. As long as you don’t say it to another person.
