Alisande’s words about The Next Internet Millionaire…
Friday, November 23rd, 2007We shared an experience unlike what many may never experience. We were all very different from each other, coming from different walks of life and experiences. To be around such a wonderful diverse group of people with inspiration, focussed minds, and ambitious drive that I feel inside me, being expressed by others, is such a powerful energy force.
Even though I got eliminated, I feel like a winner anyways! Not only did I receive many wonderful informational products, the takeaways mentally were priceless!
Thank you all for being there with me.
Let me describe what the show was for me:
Life-changing…
Wild…
Surreal..
Very intense…
Motivational…
So absolutely fun…
Gave me sharp focus…
Extremely competitive…
Took me to a new plane of thought…
Helped me fit the puzzle pieces together…
Has made me even more ambitious in my goals than before…
A once-in-a-lifetime experience…
All in all, I will never forget what I have learned being on the show.
Viewers of TNIM only got to only see snippets of what we learned from top marketers like Marlon Sanders, Armand Morin, Mike Filsaime, and Brad Fallon, to name a few, and wished they could see more. So I am excited to see that Joel Comm is releasing the several hours of intense content we learned in this Secret Classroom on December 5th as well as a DVD set of the reality show episodes and many other bonuses as well. Now all of you can share and learn the same invaluable information we learned on the show, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
It was surreal being on the show and it has been surreal reading the comments about the show. I find it so very intriguing the different ways people will perceive the characters on a show. Whether a viewer saw a contestant in a more positive or more negative light, that perception would cause them to interpret the actions of that contestant in a way that was in line with their original perception.
Many behaviours and actions can often be seen from both a positive and negative light. The interpretive comments I read reminded me of the points in the popular book Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking by Malcolm Gladwell. Reality shows are great for bringing out people’s thoughts based on preconceived foundations… Definitely makes life interesting and full of food for thought…
Message to the Staff and Crew
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the hospitality staff who were on set while we were being filmed. Kimberly was like the mom away from home, supportive, accepting, making sure we were well fed, comfortable, centered, and she was ready to give you a hug if you needed one.
In addition to Kimberly, Kaitlyn, Hannah, and Mike K., were also often driving us back and forth from the set to the hotel. It was relaxing to be around them because they had such positive vibes and good thoughts emanating from them.
The video crew were an awesome laid-back fun bunch, who especially had to hustle and keep up with us to get footage during the popsicle selling, the relaunch of Bill and Cindy’s house, and the free ticket giveaway at the Carnival.
I also had a nice 2 hour ride to Rick Raddatz’s lodge. Thank you Rick for the lodge as the paradise stop for contestants after they were eliminated. I think the hot tub was well used…
And of course, with continuued thoughtfulness for the contestants, we also had Stevie, as the house mom taking care of us there too.
There were also so many more people on set who I didn’t mention who made the show and the experiences that much more enriching. The environment on set increasingly thickened with tension as we continuued to compete against each other. But, there was also a sense of camraderie and unity as we experienced it together.
Thank you so much to everyone who played a part in supporting us contestants throughout the filming.
Cheers,
Alisande Chan
